We've made it easy to build data integrations in a matter of hours and publish them as easily accessible web apps called Kapow Kapplets™, all with no coding. This lets you place the ability to manipulate Big Data directly into the hands of business users across your organization.
Built within Kapow Katalyst™ and distributed via Kapow KappZone™, Kapplets quickly deliver timely and valuable information from a wide variety of data sources – residing in databases, documents, file and email systems, web applications, on-premise or cloud applications – in an easy, consumable form.

Kapplets can enable business users to search and monitor data sources, automate manual processes and deliver data-driven reports that support agile decision making across the organization.

For example, the Kapplet shown above collects data from several on-line ecommerce retailers. Pricing managers can use it to compare prices by product SKU or model.
In addition to pricing, the Kapplet can also be configured to present information such as thumbnails, product descriptions, number of reviews and average ratings – all additional data sets that provide another layer of intelligence that can guide pricing managers.
Personalization of Kapplets by the business user
Kapplets can be customized by business users for specific data needs.They can select the Kapplets they need to be installed in their personal Kapplets workspace, called My KappZone. Kapplets that are frequently used can be stored in the My Favorites tab for quick and easy access.

Configuring Kapplets
Users run Kapplets by providing input parameters. For example, users can set alerts to be triggered if a price differential threshold is reached or exceeded for products they are tracking.

Kapplets support built-in input validation to help users enter values correctly and avoid errors. A browse-button also enables binary input values, making it easy to use files, such as Excel spreadsheets, as input for Kapplets.
Scheduling Kapplets
Kapplets can be scheduled to run in real-time or at a specified time. Notifications can be set up and alerts are sent via e-mail or SMS once results are available.
